To diet or not to diet
Oi. A neurologist answered me in the following way: does it make you feel "icky"? Don't eat it. I find this rule helps. So, what makes me feel "icky"? (Doesn't mean I don't eat it!) Coffee, tea, rich foods, chips (the packet kind and the cooked kind), bread, cakes, cookies, meat, cold meats, ... see the pattern here? All the processed, "lekker" stuff we feed our faces with

I also try to stay as close to the tree as possible. And it works. If I digress (hey, I'm only human, how do I say NO to a lemon meringue tart?) boy, I feel it. Cappucino is my favourite, but I drink it at my own peril. I feel so yucky after this cup of Cappa and everytime I promise myself never again.
Seriously though, I do try my best to stay with the good stuff. I recently joined my husband in a fruit and vegetable detox regimen for 7 days. Oi. Not good for me. Detox is never good for those with MS. Yes, I knew it! But wanted to support the hubby. Amazing thing is, I felt a definite rise in energy, I slept so much better, even got a "glow" to the face! I will never do it again, nearly headed towards a relapse! But the lesson I learnt: STICK TO THE TREE!
I do not have the answer. Those who do, please help me! But it seems as if in general the processed stuff is really bad for us.
By the way, anybody feel like I do when I get hungry? I seem to totally over react when the hunger pains strike! I need to eat NOW!!! And I need to eat the good stuff, solid veggies, a good meal. Then the "icky" stuff will not do. I get cranky and even light headed! Not a pleasant person to be around

So, I watch my meal times carefully and try to stick to the clock.
